The Power Amp Assign Selector circuit permits various speaker layouts with the 10-channel power amplifier. This gives you far more options for your home theatre, such as a 9.2-ch surround array, 5.2-ch all bi-amp, 7.2-ch front bi-amp, 7.2-ch + Multi-Zone, or 7.2-ch speaker B.
The compact ICEpower module has permitted an innovative vertical-layer construction. The SC-LX90 features high-quality performance of two separate amplifiers packed in one unit, with the power amplifier and the preamplifier completely isolated by a metal plate inside the chassis. In addition, TAOC high carbon cast insulators are used to eliminate acoustic vibrations for enhanced sound quality.
The main chassis and the amplifier chassis are partially insulated, giving the best grounded design for each block whilst achieving high performance and a sound quality equivalent to that of two separate components.
The Advanced 3-D Space Frame Construction consists of rigid 1.6 mm thick steel plates. The power supply, amp, analogue/digital circuit, and video elements are separated and insulated from one another by frames, reducing interference. The improved operating characteristics allow accurate reproduction of even the most delicate signals.
The power supply for each circuit block has been isolated and optimized — high capacity DC/DC capacitors for the digital circuit, a series pass regulator with less noise for the analogue block, and an SMPA (Switching Mode Power Supply) for the power amp. The design effectively cuts out interference from the ground and the power supply, resulting in superior performance and sound reproduction.
